Martha, the Sister of Lazarus

The gospel reading for 5th Sunday in Lent is the account of the raising of Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1-45). In yesterday’s post we considered the debate among Jesus and the disciples about returning to Galilee to attend to the illness of Lazarus. Filling in the gaps

For many years I have “plugged away” at writing commentaries that are not overly technical, but help to give more depth and context to the verses being considered.
